Derek Lam is currently a Tax Partner at Deloitte, having begun this role in 2025. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Hong Kong Tax & Employment Tax for HSBC from 2010 to 2016, where they led the tax function and collaborated on strategies across the Asia Pacific region. Derek's earlier experience includes directing international tax at Techtronic Industries from 2007 to 2010. They are presently pursuing a Master's Degree in Commerce with a focus on Funds Management at the University of New South Wales and are also a Certified Practicing Accountant with CPA Australia.
