James Self

James Self is a Managing Director of ESG Assurance at Deloitte, a role they have held since 2012. With over 20 years of experience in audit and assurance sales, they specialize in go-to-market strategy, bid advisory, and sales coaching. Prior to their current position, James worked as a bid advisor at Deloitte and served as Director of Bid Advisory at KPMG. They hold a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton, earned in 1999. James is particularly interested in ESG-related bonds, frameworks, metrics assurance, and the evolving ESG regulatory landscape.
