Michael Halas

Michael Halas is a lawyer and government leader with seventeen years of professional experience in law, policy, and engineering across both government and private sectors. Currently, Michael serves as the Principal and Associate General Counsel for Cybersecurity at Deloitte, following a tenure as the Director for Government Cybersecurity at the National Security Council, where they coordinated federal cybersecurity policy efforts. Michael previously worked as an attorney-advisor in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, providing legal counsel on cybersecurity issues, and has also clerked for judges at both the United States District Court and the Delaware Supreme Court. Michael holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University.
