Sobhan Kar

Sobhan Kar is a Senior Advisor in Transfer Pricing at Deloitte India, bringing over 23 years of experience in public service, including 21 years as an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, where they served as Commissioner of Income-tax. They were an Indian delegate to the OECD's Working Party 6 and FTA MAP Forum from 2014 to 2020. Sobhan is also the Founder President of CHESTA, an NGO dedicated to supporting needy children, and serves as the Chairman of the Sarat Kar & Anima Kar Foundation, which they established in memory of their parents. An accomplished cricketer, poet, columnist, and economic commentator, Sobhan is deeply committed to philanthropy and social issues, using their creative talents to engage with various contemporary topics.
