Steven Birk

Steven Birk, CPA, PMP, CGFM, CDFM-A, DoDFMC3, MBA, is currently an Advisory Project Delivery Manager at Deloitte & Touche USA, LLP, where they support the Office of the Secretary of Defense in comptrollership and financial reporting. With extensive experience, they served as the Head of the Financial Management Division at the Naval Research Laboratory and held various senior budget and accounting roles at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense and other agencies. Steven also managed financial teams at the Department of Defense, contributing to significant projects, including military construction and financial reporting initiatives. Prior to this, they worked as Comptroller and Budget Officer with the US Army Corps of Engineers, showcasing a long-standing commitment to financial excellence in public service.
