Veronica Poole

Veronica Poole is the Vice Chair of Deloitte UK and the Global IFRS and Corporate Reporting Leader. In this role, they chair Deloitte’s Global IFRS Leadership team and advocate for change within the accounting profession, particularly in ESG and climate reporting. Veronica has led initiatives such as the development of a prototype climate standard with the ‘Group of 5’ and has been instrumental in launching the UK Directors’ Climate Forum and Deloitte’s WorldClimate response to climate change. Recognized as Accountant of the Year 2020 in the Women in Finance Awards, Veronica holds various external appointments, including membership in the International Integrated Reporting Council and the FRC Advisory Panel. They began their career as an audit manager at Alliotts before joining Deloitte in 1996.
