Alex D. is a Banking Risk Management expert currently serving as the Director of Financial Risk Management at Deloitte Risk Advisory Switzerland. With over 10 years of experience, Alex has supported strategic programmes of Global Systemically Important Banks (G-SIBs) in developing and validating credit risk methodologies, including statistical models under various regulatory regimes. Previously, Alex held positions at institutions such as the Royal Bank of Scotland and SNS Bank, and completed post-doctoral fellowships at both the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research and EPFL. Alex earned dual MSc degrees in Chemistry and Physics from Universiteit Utrecht and a PhD in Physics from the Max Planck Institute.
