Bas Castelijn

Bas Castelijn is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as a Tax Partner for Financial Services at Deloitte since January 2010, Bas previously held the position of Global Head of Tax for Merchant, Private and Retail Banking at Fortis from 2008 to December 2009. Prior to that role, Bas was the Tax Director at Fortis Intertrust from 2006 to 2008 and worked as a Director at Evans Randall/FI Capital, a structured finance advisory firm, from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, Bas contributed to academia as a Faculty Lecturer in Tax Law at Leiden University between 2002 and 2005. Bas holds a degree from the University of Groningen, acquired from 1990 to 1997.
