Bert Desmet

Bert Desmet is an Enterprise Architect with over 15 years of experience in shaping cloud, data, and AI platforms. At Deloitte Belgium, they currently serve as a Senior Solutions Architect on the Managed Analytics team, focusing on solution architecture with an emphasis on security, scalability, and automation. Previously, Bert held various roles at Deloitte, including Lead Architect in Analytics & Cognitive, where they worked extensively with tools like Spark and Hadoop, and managed the Deloitte Analytics Platform. Bert also contributed as a Linux System Engineer earlier in their career at Oxynade and has been involved in the Fedora Project as an ambassador. Bert holds a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology from Katholieke Hogeschool 'Sint-Lieven', Gent.
