Carike Nel

Carike Nel is a partner in Deloitte Africa's Actuarial and Insurance Solutions practice, where they serve as the Western Cape Office Managing Partner and a Director. They have a wealth of experience in the actuarial field, having previously worked as an Actuarial Consultant at NMG-Levy Consultants and an Actuarial Analyst at Absa Life. Carike is also a Deputy Chair on the Deloitte Africa Board, contributing to the strategic direction of the firm across the continent. With a passion for advancing women in the actuarial profession, they are committed to making a meaningful impact in the financial services industry. Carike holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Actuarial Sciences from the University of Pretoria and is a Fellow of both the Actuarial Society of South Africa and the Institute of Actuaries.
