David Savage

David Savage is the Head of Customs Advisory at Deloitte Ireland, where they lead the Tariff Advisory team, focusing on customs and international trade issues, including dual-use export controls. With over 16 years of experience, David represented Ireland on various international committees related to customs and trade. They previously worked as a Chemist at the Irish State Laboratory and held managerial positions at BDO Ireland. David holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry from Dublin City University, along with a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from University College Dublin. David is also a regular contributor to the Customs Compliance and Risk Management journal.
