James Self

James Self is the Managing Director of ESG Assurance at Deloitte, where they have worked since 2012. With over 20 years of experience in audit and assurance sales, they specialize in go-to-market strategy, bid advisory, sales coaching, and proposition development. Previously, they served as a bid advisor at Deloitte from 2005 to 2009 and as a Director of Bid Advisory at KPMG from 2009 to 2012. James holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. They have a keen interest in ESG-related bonds, frameworks, metrics assurance, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
