John B. Thompson

John B. Thompson is an accomplished journalist and researcher with extensive experience in both editorial and academic settings. From September 2008 to June 2016, John worked as a freelance journalist, contributing to major publications such as Rolling Stone, GQ, Men's Journal, and the Los Angeles Review of Books, alongside serving as a researcher and fact-checker for GQ and Vogue. At Columbia University, John earned a PhD in East Asian Languages and Cultures, successfully completing a dissertation on World War II and serving as a Graduate Teaching Fellow, where innovative courses on Asian history were developed and taught.
