John O'Brien

John O'Brien is an industry leader in decarbonization at Deloitte, where they lead global efforts to translate decarbonization ambitions into actionable strategies. Starting their career in the oil and gas industry, John transitioned to focus on clean technology solutions, founding Australian CleanTech in 2007 to advance the cleantech sector in Australia. With extensive experience across various sectors, they have held advisory positions for organizations such as the South Australian Government and the Monash Energy Institute, and co-founded the Australian Climate Leaders Coalition to address decarbonization challenges. John is also a published author, with their book "Stories from 2030" launched at COP26, envisioning future sustainability scenarios.
