Mike Schlect is a seasoned tax consultant with over 17 years of experience, currently serving as the Private Wealth Tax Practice Leader for Deloitte in the Western United States. Since starting at Deloitte in 2008, Mike has focused on innovative tax solutions for ultra high net worth clients and family offices. They have also held roles such as National Private Wealth Tax Controversy Leader, where they helped clients navigate risks associated with the IRS and state tax authorities. Mike holds an LLM in Tax from New York University School of Law, a JD from Seattle University School of Law, and a BS in Economics from the University of Washington.
