Peter MacKay

Peter MacKay is a seasoned Canadian politician and legal professional with extensive experience in government and private sectors. Peter served as Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada from 2013 to 2015 and held multiple ministerial roles, including Minister of National Defence and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his time with the Government of Canada from 2006 to 2015. As a Member of Parliament for Central Nova and Pictou–Antigonish–Guysborough, MacKay was actively involved in Canadian politics from 1997 to 2015. After his political career, MacKay transitioned to the private sector, becoming a Partner at Baker McKenzie and later a Strategic Advisor at Deloitte Canada, as well as Senior Counsel at McInnes Cooper. Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts from Acadia University. MacKay co-founded the Conservative Party of Canada and served as its Deputy Leader, reflecting his significant influence in Canadian political circles.
