Steve Weiss

Steve Weiss is a physicist and operations analyst with over thirty years of experience at the intersection of science and government decision-making. They currently serve as a Specialist Leader at Deloitte Consulting and have held various leadership roles, including Principal Analyst at the Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute and Manager of the Operations Analysis Division at ANSER. Their PhD research focused on radiation detection and government support of scientific research post-World War II. Additionally, Steve has contributed to the wilderness search and rescue community, serving in several leadership capacities, including chair of the Appalachian Search and Rescue Conference. Steve holds a triple major in Physics, Philosophy, and Mathematics from Virginia Tech.
