Thijs van Essen

Thijs van Essen is a Cyber Strategy Consultant at Deloitte, where they have progressed from Analyst to Consultant. They previously served as Chairman of the Committee for the Stichting Nationaal Informatica Congres and were a Graduate Intern at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI). Thijs has also held academic roles at the University of Twente, including Student Assessor and Chairman of the EEMCS Faculty Council. They hold multiple degrees, including a Master's in Advanced Cryptography and Cyber Security. Currently, Thijs is pursuing a Bachelor's in Legal Studies at Radboud University.
