Gan Li has worked in a variety of roles since 1981. From 1981 to 1990, they were the Head of The Physics Teaching Lab and Computer/Audio-Video Center at Jinling Vocational University (JVU). At this role, they managed the Lab and taught general physics and lab courses, initiated the EduVideo Production Program at JVU and taught production techniques, and directed/produced award-winning educational video programming. From 1990 to 1993, they were a Faculty at The Evergreen State College. From 1993 to 1994, they worked as a Professional Consultant at Interactive Design Associates, Inc., where they developed interactive Computer-Based Training (CBT) programs, worked at the HP Corvallis, OR site developing online courses for OSHA safety certifications, and helped establish Employee Learning Centers at HP Ireland and HP Puerto Rico. From 1994 to 2009, they worked at HP in various roles including Program Manager, Program/Project Manager, Information Technology Engineer, and Educational IT Function Specialist. In these roles, they negotiated and managed multi-million dollar marketing service contracts, supported retail sales into 2nd-tier accounts through distribution channel partners, engaged with HP internal marketing, sales, and category teams in developing and executing field programs on merchandising, training, demo days, and special event activities, managed field sales programs supporting Account teams selling into Best Buy, Costco, Sam's, and 2nd-Tier accounts, managed Consumer Sales Operations (CSO) IT initiatives and sales data reporting, and coordinated with suppliers on IT system development for sales management. From 2009 to 2012, they worked at Tai Rann Education & Technology as the Principal, where they were a Business Consultant at Joint Way International, Inc. (JWI) and conducted Market Analysis for Revenue Enhancement (MARE Model) for JWI. Lastly, from 2012 to present, they have worked at Delta Computer Systems, Inc. in the roles of Sr. Business Consultant and Director of Business Development, Asia Pacific Rim.
Gan Li obtained their MBA in Business Administration from Washington State University in 2010. Prior to that, they earned a MS in Education with a specialization in IT from Western Oregon University in 1993. In 1980, they graduated from Nanjing Normal University with a degree in Physics. Gan also attended Clark College, where they studied Project Management & Lean / Six Sigma. Additionally, Gan Li is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI.
