Bert Jagers

Bert Jagers is a specialist in numerical model development, hydrodynamics, and biogeomorphology, currently employed by Deltares in Delft. With a PhD in Civil Engineering and dual MSc degrees in Applied Mathematics and Applied Physics from the University of Twente, Bert has a strong foundation in applied sciences. Their career includes roles as a Technical Coordinator for software development at WL | Delft Hydraulics and as a Senior Consultant and Advisor at Deltares, contributing to various projects worldwide. Bert's focus on sediment transport and morphology integrates the complexities of environmental interactions, promoting sustainable decision-making through collaborative research and open-source tools. Currently residing in Cairo, Egypt, Bert continues to support global projects while navigating the intersection of theoretical knowledge and practical application.
