Glenn Barnes

Glenn Barnes has extensive experience in the materials handling and logistics industry, currently serving as the Industry Manager for G&GM at Dematic ANZ since July 2001, where responsibilities include assisting customers with the development of tailored materials handling systems. Key projects include collaborations with major companies such as Big W, Star Track Express, Kmart, Toll, and Woolworths. Prior to this role, Glenn served as a Project Manager for the Minchinbury Freight Sorting Facility at Star Track Express from March 1999 to July 2001, overseeing the implementation and ramp-up of the sorting system. Glenn’s career began in August 1985 at Colby Engineering/Dematic, where roles included design estimating, sales, and consulting. Glenn holds a degree in Transport & Logistics Management from RMIT University and graduated from Barrenjoey High School.
