Ian Abbott

Ian Abbott is an experienced professional in logistics automation, currently serving as the Director of Solution Development for Northern Europe at Dematic since April 2013. In this role, Ian leads the Solution Development department, overseeing complex intralogistics automation projects from analysis to design and quotation. Prior positions include Head of Software Solutions, where responsibilities encompassed applying warehouse execution software and managing software sales for new tenders, and Software Manager - Sales, supporting the sales team with software functionality for Warehouse Management and Control solutions. Ian's earlier experience includes roles as Sales Project Manager at Dematic Ltd., Business Project Manager at Ocado, and Planning Consultant and Project Engineer at Dematic Europe. Ian holds a BEng (hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Surrey.
