John Auchter

John Auchter is a seasoned Marketing Communications Specialist at Dematic since January 2015 and a Contributing Editorial Cartoonist for Michigan Public since June 2016, providing weekly editorial cartoons and commentary. Previously, John worked as a Freelance Cartoonist for MLive Media Group from March 2010 to January 2016, and held roles as a Requirements Documentation Specialist at both Visteon Corporation and Johnson Controls, focusing on system engineering processes and user interface specifications. As the owner of JPA (Auchter) Consulting Inc. for over a decade, John specialized in technical communications and training programs. Early career experience includes roles at Elexicon, Gemini Publications, Dematic Corp., and EnCyc Software, where John developed training solutions and product documentation. John holds a BS in Scientific and Technical Communications from Michigan Technological University.
