Fernando Toro

Fernando Toro is a seasoned professional in the fields of hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and engineering project management. Currently serving in the Tender Department at DEME Group since July 2018, Toro specializes in offshore wind farm projects. Prior to this role, Toro held the position of Business Manager at TORGUN BVBA, focusing on consultancy for engineering projects related to inland waterways and marine engineering. Toro's extensive experience includes a 12-year tenure at IMDC, progressing from project engineer to Commercial Head of Department for Coast, Estuaries, and Ports. Toro's academic background includes a PhD from Kiel University and a Master of Science from the University of Mississippi, augmented by a certification as a Project Management Professional.
