Luke Hansen

Luke Hansen is a Senior Software Engineer in Data at Demonware, following previous experience as a Data Engineer. Having completed a Technical Diploma in Computer Software Engineering from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Luke's expertise includes cloud computing with AWS and GCP, event-driven streaming with Apache Kafka, and batched processing using Apache Spark and Airflow. Luke began their career as a Data Engineer Intern at Activision, where they developed Kafka Streams services and contributed to cloud migration efforts. Born and raised on BC's Sunshine Coast, Luke's background includes a home-schooled education that fostered self-motivation and teamwork alongside extracurricular pursuits in sports, dance, and martial arts.
