Sam Tyrer

Sam Tyrer serves as the Chief Executive Officer of DD since February 2023, having previously held the position of Chief Executive from October 2022 to February 2023. Prior to this, Sam Tyrer was the Chief Executive Officer at Coop Funeralcare and Coop Funeral Planning from May 2019 to October 2022, and CEO at American Golf for a brief period in 2018. Sam Tyrer also gained significant experience as Managing Director at Countrywide Plc between August 2015 and August 2017, and held various roles including UK Retail & Services Managing Director and Managing Director Carphone Warehouse Online at Carphone Warehouse from 2007 to 2015. Sam Tyrer's career began at HMV, where a role as Divisional Manager spanned 1991 to 2007. Academic background includes education at Exeter College, St Thomas High School in Exeter, and The University of Manchester.
