Mark Finley

Mark Finley is an experienced journalist currently serving as the City Editor at Denton Record-Chronicle since November 2011, overseeing a team of five reporters and two interns for a daily publication. In this role, Mark is responsible for story assignment, copy editing, and coordinating with the copy desk for publication. Previously, Mark held the position of Copy Desk Chief, managing a six-person team focused on editing and designing news pages. Mark's career also includes a tenure at Fort Worth Star-Telegram from September 2001 to May 2011 as a Sports Copy Editor, where responsibilities included editing, headline writing, and covering high school football. Mark earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations from the University of Central Oklahoma between 1986 and 1989.
