John Hay is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in commercial arbitration and litigation. Currently serving as a Partner in the International Arbitration Group at Dentons since April 2013, John successfully secured a US$34 million award for a foreign client in an AAA arbitration related to a joint venture agreement under Venezuelan law. Prior to this role, John was the Head of the US Arbitration and Litigation Group at Salans LLP from May 2006 to April 2013, and also served as a Partner at Fieldman Hay & Ullman from 1987 to 1995. Early in the career, John worked as an attorney at Walsh & Frisch from 1980 to 1984. John holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a BA in Political Science from the University at Buffalo.
