Matthew Chipman

Matthew Chipman is currently a Managing Associate at Dentons, having previously served as an Associate at Maynard Nexsen PC and as an Associate Attorney at McCormick, Barstow, Sheppard, Wayte & Carruth LLP. Matthew specializes in complex civil litigation, particularly in insurance coverage litigation, with extensive experience in both state and federal courts. Key skills include motion practice, discovery responses, and drafting pleadings, as well as preparing mediation and settlement briefs. Matthew has also worked as a Judicial Extern at the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, where legal research and drafting bench memoranda were primary responsibilities. Matthew holds a JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
