Emily Schmidt serves as a Project Development Engineer at DEPCOM Power, Inc, providing engineering design expertise for utility-scale solar projects and optimizing energy solutions. Previously, Emily was an Undergraduate Researcher at the Institute for Cyber Physical Infrastructure & Energy (I-CPIE), investigating the feasibility of solar power generation for warehouses and electric vehicle charging. Additionally, Emily participated in the Lehigh Silicon Valley program, collaborating on real-world entrepreneurial solutions, and contributed to research in fluid dynamics and aeroacoustics focused on noise suppression in owl wings. Early experience includes a student research role at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in the hematology and oncology lab, along with employment at Taylor's Ice Cream Parlor. Emily is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Social Science at Lehigh University, set to graduate in 2024.
