Donna Ward

Donna Ward has had a diverse work experience in various technology companies. Donna started their career in 2002 as Vice President of Product Engineering at PLX Systems, where they managed budgets, schedules, and engineering requirements for internet and desktop music royalties and publishing products. Donna then worked for Counterpoint Systems as a Technical Consultant, designing web application and database architecture for music publishing solutions. At DataApp, Donna served as Vice President of Engineering, designing and developing database and application architecture for the CONRAD™ product suite for the hospitality and convention center industries. Donna then joined Global Gaming League as Vice President of Interactive Technologies, prototyping innovative web, desktop, and mobile applications. Donna later became Senior Director of Software Engineering at WMS Gaming, where they designed game prototypes and new technologies for large-scale platforms. Donna then transitioned to Symantec as Senior Director of Engineering, managing multiple teams to create cloud archiving products. Donna joined Electronic Arts as Senior Development Director to develop centralized cloud technology for new mobile and social games. Donna then worked at Caesars Interactive Entertainment Inc., where they managed teams to develop real-money poker products. Donna'smost recent role was as Chief Technology Officer at Dependable Solutions Inc., where they managed information technology and software development teams to automate financial licensing processes.

Donna Ward has a diverse education history. Donna began their educational journey in 1983 at the University of Canterbury, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics/Mathematics in 1987. Donna continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) with Honors in Astronomy in 1991.

In 1993, Donna pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the University of Canterbury, which they successfully completed in 1997.

Throughout their career, Donna also sought additional education and certifications. In 1999, they completed a course titled "Introduction to Drawn Animation (Film, Video, and Photography)" at the University of the Arts London. The following year, they enrolled in a program called "Introduction to SoftImage 3D" at the same institution.

In 2008, Donna furthered their education in leadership by attending the Leadership Forum I, II, & III at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Donna also earned a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster from ScrumAlliance in August 2008.

Additionally, Donna completed a program called "Coaching for Performance" at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 2009.
