Zhen W.

Principal Research Scientist at Depixus

Zhen W. has worked in a variety of research roles since 2003. In 2003, Zhen W. was an Intern at the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR), University of Cambridge, where they studied the effect of glycerol on the polymerization of wild type and a mutant neuroserpin. That same year, Zhen W. was also a Research Intern at the same institute, where they studied cell models of neuroserpin polymerization. In 2004, Zhen W. was a Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge, Department of Pathology, where they studied myelination using an in vitro system of DRG/Oligodendrocyte coculture. From 2007 to 2011, Zhen W. was a Post-doctoral Researcher and PhD Student at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB). Finally, from 2016 to the present, Zhen W. has been a Senior Research Scientist and Molecular Biologist at Depixus.

Zhen W. completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Natural Sciences and Genetics from the University of Cambridge in 2003. Prior to that, they obtained a High School diploma from Saint John's School in Leatherhead, UK in 2000. They then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2007, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology from the same university in 2010.
