Tom Tansy

Tom Tansy serves as the Chief Executive Officer of DER Security Corp since April 2022. Additionally, Tansy has held the position of Chairman at SunSpec Alliance since 2009, where the organization works on information standards for the renewable energy industry. Tansy was a Board Member of the Solar Energy Finance Association from January 2014 to December 2016, contributing to the expansion of capital availability for distributed solar energy. Previous roles include Solar 3.0 Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy/SolarTech, General Manager and VP of Business Development at Power-One, and Vice President of Business Development at Fat Spaniel Technologies. Tansy co-founded Swan Labs and played key roles in strategic partnerships at Zero Motorcycles and advisory positions at Magenn Power and TWiki. Tansy holds a degree from San Jose State University, completed from 1978 to 1982.
