Daniel Maye

Daniel Maye currently serves as the U18 Lead Coach at Derby County Football Club, a position held since August 2023, where the focus is on delivering an interdisciplinary U18 program in close collaboration with the Youth Development Phase and U21s. Prior to this, Daniel accumulated extensive experience at Southampton Football Club from December 2012 to August 2023, where responsibilities included leading the U16 program as part of the Pre-scholar Phase and supporting B Team players through individual development plans. Daniel's coaching career includes various roles at Southampton FC Academy (Bath), Bristol Rovers Football Club, and experiences as a professional footballer with Port Vale Football Club. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from the University of Bath, as well as multiple coaching certifications, including the UEFA A Licence and the Advanced Youth Award.
