John Tanner

John Tanner is an experienced professional with a robust background in law enforcement and scientific research. Currently serving as a Police Inspector at Derbyshire Constabulary since September 2010, John has held various roles including Special Constable and positions within the Learning & Development Centre. Previous experience includes working in Policy and Research for Peak District National Park and serving as a Senior Scientific Officer at DERA/QinetiQ from 2000 to 2003. John holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Police Research from Nottingham Trent University, a Postgraduate Degree in Astrophysics from The Open University, and a Master's degree in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Birmingham. Early education was completed at Haybridge High School & Sixth Form.
