Derbyshire Toy Libraries is a volunteer-led community initiative dedicated to making play accessible, affordable, and sustainable for families across Derbyshire.
We provide a wide range of toys and educational resources for children of all ages, supporting early development, creativity, and learning through play. By promoting sharing and reuse, we help reduce costs for families while encouraging more sustainable lifestyles.
As part of our commitment to reducing waste, we also rescue and repurpose toys that would otherwise go to landfill, offering them through our regular monthly auctions. This not only extends the life of valuable resources but also supports our fundraising efforts.
Established in 2000, the organisation continues to bring people together—supporting families, engaging volunteers, and strengthening the local community through play, events, and sustainable initiatives.

We also rescue and repurpose toys that would otherwise go to landfill, redistributing them through monthly fundraising auctions and community events.
