Derive is the intelligent notebook for STEM students. It catches mistakes the second they're written.

Students work through math and science problem sets by hand on their tablets. Derive understands every stroke on the page, finds errors inline at the moment they happen, and gives guided explanations on demand. No more losing hours to a wrong step you don't catch until the answer key.

Built for tablet and stylus. Made for university and high school students in engineering, mathematics, physics, and chemistry. The handwriting stays handwriting. The feedback is instant.

Near-term, Derive is a consumer subscription for students who want to study faster and get unstuck on their own. Long-term, it is the data layer for the future of AI education: the deepest insight into where students actually get stuck.

A few early numbers. 6.6% conversion from cold email against a 1-2% benchmark. 6500+ students on the waitlist, grown with A$0 ad spend. First place at Startmate Pitch Night Melbourne, May 2026. Part of the UQ Validate cohort and Startmate Launch Club.

Derive will launch in the coming weeks!
