Tom MacEk

Tom Macek has extensive work experience in the design and creative field. Tom started their career in 1988 as a draftsman at Selfix, Inc. (now HPI / Homz) while still in high school and continued working as a designer after college graduation. Tom joined Cormark Inc. in 1995 as a designer and gained valuable experience in efficiency and intensity. From 1997 to 1999, they worked at Contempo Design as a digital designer, providing digital support for a team of designers while also working on their own designs. In 1999, they joined Nimlok Chicago as a design director, a role they held until 2008. Tom then worked at Dimension Craft, Inc. from 2009 to 2013 as a design director. Most recently, in 2013, they started working at Matrex Exhibits as a creative director, a position they held until the present. In 2023, they began working at Derse as a creative director.

Tom Macek attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design.
