Stephen R. began their career in 2002 as an Advisor at Standard Life. In 2004, they moved to Millfield Associate Partnership as an Independent Financial Adviser. In 2005, they became an Independent Mortgage Advisor at Buildstore. In 2007, they joined MDH Hughes as an Independant Financial Advisor where they provided financial advice to both Private and Employee Benefits clients. In 2008, they moved to Oval Group as Oval Financial Services. In 2009, they became the Head of Krayatec at Kraya, responsible for IT Support operations. In 2011, they became the Managing Director of Ramsay.IT, a Cloud-focused Business IT Support Specialist. In 2017, they joined Welgo Office Equipment Limited as IT Business Manager, providing Consultancy and third Level Support to a Cloud-focused Business IT Support team. In 2018, they became a Staff Nurse - Intensive Care Nurse at NHS Scotland. In 2021, Stephen R. was appointed Head of Compliance and Cybersecurity at Desana, where they are responsible for company-wide Global implementation and Audit of ISMS and ISO 27001 & 27701, Corporate and Cybersecurity Risk Manager and Focal point for all Compliance, Information Security and Cybersecurity incidents, and managing all internal and external audits.

Stephen R. began their education in 1992 at Milburn High School, where they graduated in 1998. Stephen then attended Edinburgh Napier University from 1998 to 2002, where they studied Bsc Computing. From 2003 to 2012, Stephen R. attended The Chartered Insurnace & Institute Institute of Financial Services to pursue a career in Financial Planning and Mortgage Advice. In 2017, Stephen R. returned to Edinburgh Napier University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, which they completed in 2020. Additionally, Stephen R. has obtained several certifications, including ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor Practitioner from BSI in 2022, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor - Information Security Certification from BSI in 2021, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer - Information Security Certification from BSI in 2021, and Google Apps For Business from Google in 2011.
