Keyan R. has been working in the software engineering field since 2016. Keyan began their career as a Software Developer Intern at ApplyBoard. Keyan then worked as a Software QA Engineer Intern at Apple in 2017. That same year, they also worked as a Software Developer Intern at DarkMatter LLC, where they reduced encryption and decryption runtimes by 3.3x and 3.9x respectively by implementing a new opportunistic locking algorithm for concurrent messaging. In 2018, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo, and as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft, where they created the backend for an email autoexpiry feature in C#. In 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at both Google and NVIDIA. As of 2020, they have been working as a Software Engineer at Citadel Securities. In 2022, they are expected to begin working as a Software Engineer at Descript.
Keyan R. attended the University of Waterloo from 2015 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.
