Puppet Mills has over 13 years of work experience in the technology industry. In 2007, they began their career as a Computer User Systems Support Level II at Powell's Books. In 2008, they joined Clickability as a Lead QA Engineer and Technical Support Specialist. In 2011, they moved to Limelight Networks as a QA Manager. In 2013, they worked at Blackstone Technology Group as a Senior QA Analyst and at Sungevity as a QA Lead. In 2014, they joined Upland Software as a Product Manager and QA Manager for Clickability. In 2015, they moved to Directly as a Senior Product Manager and QA Lead. In 2018, they became a Product Development Consultant at Freedom Forward. In 2020, they joined Dropbox as a Senior Quality Engineer. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as a Quality Engineer at Descript.

Puppet Mills has a diverse educational background. In 2021, Mills completed a Certificate of Completion in Back End, SQL, and DevOps Developer with Python from Nucamp Coding Bootcamp and a Certificate of Completion in Data Science Remote | 60 Hour from General Assembly.
