At Desert Oak Counseling, we are committed to delivering compassionate and trauma-informed mental health services that inspire individuals to tap into their inner strengths and conquer challenges, particularly as they relate to trauma and addiction. Our mission is to cultivate a comfortable environment where clients can heal, grow, and thrive. We wholeheartedly believe in fostering resilience and enhancing well-being through evidence-based practices like EMDR and other holistic approaches, all while honoring each person's unique journey.

TRAUMA INFORMED. We provide trauma-informed therapy, which means we understand the prevalence and impact trauma has on mental health, the therapeutic process, and society as a whole. Instead of asking "what is wrong with you?" we ask "what happened to you?" We lead with compassion and understand your past dictates your therapy journey, whether you receive trauma-specific treatment or not.

ALL ARE WELCOME. Desert Oak is a safe, welcoming and inclusive space. We are LGBTQIA+ affirming, and we value and appreciate different cultures, religions, ethnicities and points of view. We intend to accept all parts of you in the therapy room. There is nothing too big or too small for us to work through together.

COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS. Our business is also deeply committed to building strong community connections because we believe that mental health is an essential part of holistic healthcare. We have a passion for connecting other professionals with mental health services, and providing our clients with the community connections they would benefit from.
