Emily Murphy is an accomplished engineer and scientist with extensive experience in the fields of bioengineering and biomedical engineering. Currently employed at DesiCorp, Inc. since November 2021, Emily focuses on researching acoustofluidic processes for long-term storage of red blood cells through freeze-drying techniques. Prior roles include working as an R&D Associate II at AstraZeneca, where analysis of antibody-based biopharmaceuticals was conducted, and as a Biologist I at the Institute for In Vitro Sciences, where non-animal toxicological assessment studies were led. Emily also gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Theranostics Ultrasound Laboratory, investigating novel preservation processes for red blood cells and T-cell transfection for leukemia treatment.
