Design Ecosystems is a landscape design studio rooted in ecological thinking and long-term care. We work with homeowners, schools, and mission-driven organizations across New Jersey and the tri-state region to create resilient, place-based landscapes that are both beautiful and functional. Our design products include outdoor gathering spaces, patios, and hardscape upgrades, as well as rain gardens, pollinator meadows, woodland edges, edible landscapes, and ecologically integrated pools and pathways. We guide projects from early visioning through detailed planning, always grounded in site conditions, ecological processes, and the long-term needs of the people who care for the land.

After installation, we continue to support projects through seasonal checkups, adaptive maintenance plans, and plant health assessments to ensure your landscape thrives over time. We also offer hands-on workshops and community-based learning experiences that strengthen relationships between people and place. Our work is collaborative, iterative, and grounded in the belief that good design grows over time.
