Abe Wright

Abe Wright is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the medical device and humanitarian sectors. As Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Design Outreach since August 2012, Abe has played a pivotal role in developing the LifePump, a clean water solution supported by a diverse volunteer team. Before this, Abe held various engineering roles at DePuy Synthes Companies from May 2001 to May 2019, including Principal Engineer and Staff Engineer, where leadership of technical teams in developing knee implant products and collaboration with research partners were key responsibilities. Abe is an accomplished innovator, contributing to significant advancements in the Attune Knee System and achieving substantial revenue growth through design improvements. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Messiah University.
