Fred Porter

Fred Porter is a Senior Engineering Consultant at Design Research Engineering, specializing in the analysis and design of electrical and electronic systems across various sectors. Prior to this role, Fred was a Managing Engineer at Exponent, where they focused on automotive electrical and electronic systems. Their earlier career includes significant positions at Ford Motor Company as an Engineering Supervisor for chassis electronics and at Hewlett-Packard as a Member of the Technical Staff. Fred holds a BS in Physics and Math from Albion College and both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Additionally, Fred is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator.
