Anna Rutherford

Anna Rutherford is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in cultural and organizational transformation. As Chief Executive Officer at Design West since June 2018, Anna has spearheaded a brand transition and enhanced design and placemaking initiatives across the region. Anna founded Indigo Network, the largest networking group for LBTQ+ women in the UK, and served as Executive Director at Situations, successfully leading a major national project. Previous roles include Business Development Consultant at the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement and Executive Director at In Between Time, where Anna significantly improved financial and audience metrics. Additionally, Anna was the Founding Director of Pride Bristol, which rapidly grew into one of the largest Pride festivals in the country. Anna holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Warwick.
