Senior Product & Sales Engineer at Designa

Ulli Thessmann has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Currently, at DESIGNA, Ulli serves as a Senior Product & Sales Engineer, leading projects and mapping the product portfolio in the quotation tool. They are also responsible for pricing and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic positioning. Ulli acts as a technical liaison between the sales, supply chain, and product management departments.

Previously, Ulli worked as the Interim Head of Product Management at DESIGNA, overseeing product management activities from November 2021 to February 2022. Before that, they held the position of Strategic Product Manager from April 2020 to October 2021. In this role, Ulli played a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the product portfolio.

Prior to their strategic positions, Ulli held the position of Head of Configuration Management at DESIGNA from January 2016 to March 2020, where they managed the configuration of products. They also served as a Product Manager from January 2013 to March 2020, and as an Associate Product Manager from January 2012 to December 2012. In these roles, Ulli provided assistance to the Head of Product Management, managed subprojects for new products, and supported product launches.

Outside of DESIGNA, Ulli was involved with Schrevenrunner Sports as the Founder & CEO since June 2019. In this capacity, Ulli led strategic projects, including developing brands such as schrevenrunner.com and Ultramarathon zwischen den Meeren. Their product portfolio included online personal trainings, a mobile training app, and consulting services in areas such as Personal Training and BGM/BGF Consulting.

Ulli Thessmann has pursued a comprehensive education history. From 2005 to 2009, Thessmann attended Fachhochschule Westküste, where they achieved a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Administration & Technology. This was followed by further studies at Fachhochschule Kiel, from 2009 to 2011, where Thessmann obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Industrial Engineering & Management. More recently, from 2017 to 2023, Thessmann has been enrolled at FernUniversität in Hagen, working towards a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Information Systems.
