Doug Homer has over 28 years of experience in financial and accounting roles. Doug began their career in 1992 as a Senior Manager in the Assurance practice of Ernst & Young LLP. In 2004, they joined O-I as an Assistant Director of Audit, where they led the SOX 404 Project Management Office in the first year of implementation. Doug was promoted to Director, Global Audit and Enterprise Risk Management in 2005, where they were responsible for the global internal audit function, strategic risk assessment, and data analysis. In 2013, they moved to Libbey Inc. as Director, Global Audit and ERM, where they successfully transformed the internal audit function from a 100% outsource model to an in-house function and developed an impactful audit report format. In 2009, Doug founded and became the Principal of NoteBuyer Partners, LLC and Compass East Properties, LLC, where they invest in notes and mortgages secured by residential properties and certain types of commercial real estate. Doug is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Designetics, Inc., a position they have held since 2020.
Doug Homer obtained their BBA in Accounting from The University of Toledo between 1988 and 1992. Doug then went on to earn their MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from The Ohio State University between 2005 and 2006. Doug also holds certifications from the AICPA as a Certified Global Management Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from O-I.
