James Duru

James Duru is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in creative leadership roles across various esteemed companies. Currently serving as Principal and Executive Creative Director for APAC at DesignStudio since February 2018, James has significantly contributed to creative direction and brand expression. In addition, James is an advisory committee member for the UTS Visual Communication program at the University of Technology Sydney, aiding in curriculum refinement. Previous positions include Vice Chairman of the Australian Graphic Design Association, Design Director at For The People Agency, and various roles at DesignStudio in London and San Francisco. James's career began as a designer at Studio Output, with foundational experience gained through placements at Zip and ODD. James holds a BA in Graphic Design from Liverpool John Moores University and a Foundation degree in Art & Design from York 6th form college.
